The short version
- No accounts, no tracking, no ads, no analytics.
- If you agree to Inner Light, what you write for a reading is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to create it. It isn't stored on our server.
- Your past reflections stay on your device. You can delete them any time.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
What we collect
Text you enter for a reading
When you ask for an Inner Light (AI) reading, the situation you describe, the feelings you pick, and any follow-up question are sent to our server and passed on to Anthropic's Claude AI to write your reading. This only happens after you agree on the "Privacy & AI" screen. If you choose "Not now", Stillmind uses its built-in guide, which runs on your device and sends nothing.
A random device ID
On your first visit, Stillmind creates a random ID (for example 3f2a…) and keeps it on your device. It's sent with AI readings so we can apply a fair daily limit per device. It isn't linked to your name, email, or any other account, and we can't use it to identify you.
A hashed IP address
To prevent abuse, our server counts how many AI readings come from each IP address per day. It stores only a one-way hash of the IP (a scrambled code that can't be turned back into the address), alongside the day's counts. These counts are deleted automatically within about a week.
What we don't collect
No name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or payment details. No cookies for tracking, no analytics, and no advertising identifiers.
Who processes it
- Hostinger hosts our website and server. Like any web host, it handles your connection to the site.
- Anthropic provides the Claude AI that writes Inner Light readings. It receives the text of your reading request, but not your device ID or IP address hash. Anthropic's handling of API data is described in its privacy policy and commercial terms. Under those terms, Anthropic does not use API data to train its models by default.
We don't share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
- Readings: not stored on our server. The text passes through to create your reading and is then discarded.
- Daily usage counts (hashed device ID and hashed IP with a number): kept for up to about 7 days, then deleted.
- Past reflections: kept only on your device, in your browser or the Stillmind app. Delete them any time with "Delete all reflections" under Past reflections, or by clearing the site's data or deleting the app.
Your choices
- Turn AI readings on or off any time: tap "Privacy & AI" at the bottom of the app, or the Inner Light pill at the top.
- Delete your past reflections from the app.
- Ask us any question about your data at the email below.
Children
Stillmind isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. If a change affects how your words are used, the app will ask for your agreement again.
